im loving my garden at the moment, heaps of vegies in it, the kids help me plant seedlings and weed as their getting older. we have a new worm farm (a big hit with the kids!) we eat delicious huge oranges from the tree every day (ma is always saying "rinnie" which is mandarin in m language:) they are just like giant mandarins. the girls also quite happily eat lemons which suprised me.

yesterday we went opp shopping and i got some old pots and pans for the sandpit, the kids think their great! (theyre all about cooking pancakes and saying ouch, hot! at the moment)

we caught up with skippy, another family day carer this morning and went to the playground with 5 little girls, it was so cute, they all got along realy well and had a great play together. shes looking after 2 little girls that i used to care for, dissapointing that i didnt have care spaces for them because their such nice girls:( great to see them again though

ma & t have gone home as ma isnt well so i have a quiet afternoon in store, just got me till 4, gona go get some wool to do some knitting when she wakes from her sleep. ive got some great toy ideas from a waldorf craft techers blog, looking forward to getting started on them. And a green beanie for me. id love to make a felted one, mite have a go at that if i feel game:)

happy birthday to me!!

i had a great birthday, dad was down which was a great suprise! mum made bacon and eggs for brekkie and dad squeezed fresh orange juice, mmm yum.


i got this tea pot from anneke, i have plans for a tea pot colection to run the whole way across the top of our high kitchen cupboards (aprox 3meters) i so far have 3 lol still quite a way to go

also super dooper happy elmo pyjamas from dad. i got lots of other nice presents too including money and chocolate,( both always nice:) fat quatres from levin, and some beautiful pictures from julian and louis

heres our visitors for the day, from left dad, me, levin, oma and opa. we had pies and pasties for lunch and i enjoyed wearing shorts and thongs which it hasnt been warm enough for in ages

we walked down to the shops so i could spend my birthday money (i got awesome fabrics which you will soon see in the form of quilts and other things) ive almost finished a quilt top out of it already, i plan to be on the sewing machine the second the kids go home this arvo

me and dad had a go on the boys scooters. we couldnt get nearly as fast as the boys but we tried hard and had lots of fun!
benny came ova later that night to say happy birthday in person. we couldnt manage to get a non blurry photo but we did mansge to have fun!

my brand new sewing machine from benny!!! his parents gave me the bag, so it can safely go wherever i want to go. mum informed me that levin also has a sewing machine bag on wheels with a handle and dad recons we should have races with them. Can i intrest you in a sewing machine race levin? im game if you are!! (some how i doubt it lol:)
i love it sooooooooo much! its got green on it (my favourite colour) and its model name is "inspiration" im inspired alright! ive been trying out all its bits and pieces, having a go at machine quilting patterns (im glad i started with a pot holder, its a little trickier than i thought but im getting the hang of it now) im gona make so many cool things with it. im so happy to have a machine that is mine, that il take with me when i move out, make whatever i want to make over time, teach my kids to sew with one day in the far future. sigh... i just love it so much!

my quilt

this is my quilt i started ages ago. its now pretty much finished, but still a work in progress
its good for tea parties and lazing about in the warm sun! kylie loves my quilt, i have an order in to make her one for christmas. i look forward to going shopping, being able to chose fabrics but not having to pay the bill
