Holidays day three

I needed to get out of the house and do something fun.
Some of my favourite days are days like this one, little adventures by myself. Getting out amongst beautiful nature, clearing my head, making room for new thoughts, more positive ones.

I took some craft projects and a book so that Id have something to do but I didnt need them. All I needed was the green grass to lay in, the breeze that rustled the leaves and blew the occasional one gracefully to the ground.

I love looking up and seing the sunlight lighting up leaves from behind. I love seing snippets of blue sky framed by them
All I needed was to be somewhere else, somewhere fresh and new where I new that I wouldn't see anyone I knew. Somewhere where I could climb trees and just be... with no worries or thoughts of the past or future, just the present there and then.
I held on tight to the trees strong trunk and felt safe knowing that it would hold me up high
I love this beautiful life I have
There can be such freedom In new surroundings

three chicks on a road trip

The three chicks mentioned in the title were me, Mum and a little hen. we were on a mission to take the Renners another girl for their new chicken mansion.

The way over was entertaining, i couldnt find a box so i had the chicken on a towel on my lap for over an hour. Im sure cars that stopped at traffic lights next to us would have thought it interesting seing a chook peeking out the window!

We had a great time talking craft with levin, showing each other our latest projects. weve all been doing knitting lately which is nice. Oma and Opa came over and had lunch with us (which included a realy yummy zuccini slice which i got the recipe for and plan to make tommorow)

Me Jullian and Louie visiting the girls

After that we went to visit jo and had tea in spotty cups in her garden.
Tea taste extra good when your out side and its just a little chilly!
Jo was talking about the time she came to visit us and we made chocolate cake every day and ate it the whole time she was there. I cant remember, (us kids must have been young i presume) so we realy must do it again some time because it sounded realy fun!!
in this picture of me and jo, im wearing my coat-in-progress. (its warm and cozy already!) its going slowly. as i dont know 100% what im doing ive had to undo a few times but the trickiest parts are over (i hope) and its going well

visiting

i had a fantastic weekend.

friday me and benny stayed at lil, madi and dales place. we got yummy pizza and pasta for tea, and then went to cold rock icecreamery for desert. and then died of fullness while watching awesome season dvds.

saturday morning we went opp shopping with madi and i bought my new favourite top for $6. nothing wrong with that!

saturday night we went to emily and louies birthday. it was so incredibly nice sitting in their garden, nibbling on fruit and checking out davids latest gardening projects. it utterly amazes me the he has made such an awesome garden pretty much entirely from recycled things that have been given to him. every time i visit there is something new and cool. this time they have a fish pond made of an old bath and a realy great chichen coop waiting on a bit more recycled wood

lil me and aj

saturday night we stayed at anneke and kanes place.
in the morning we went to markets and then went shopping. i had a $50 spotlight gift card that bennys parents gave me for christmas and i certainly got their moneys worth. i found a quilt cover for $20 and after i bought it realised that not only was it marked down from $90, it had actually scanned through at $14. not bad value if you ask me!
that arvo we went for a swim at their beautiful beach. the water was absolutely perfect and as always we had loads of fun jumping through waves

and this is just a random photo from a while ago because i was editing it and realy love it

gratitude day 5

i am grateful for trips home. the trip going somewhere im usualy thinking excitedly of what is to come, fun things i will be doing etc, which is nice but my favourite trips are heading home. i love driving by myself, drifting along, plenty of time to think and relax. nothing to do but look at beautiful scenery and contemplate lifes journey. every week i drive half an hour to see benny and most of the times i switch off music and take the time to 'just be' i love having the time all to myself, centering myself, meditating (with eyes open of course!)
