Its similar to the rainbow stripey blanket I started a while ago, but doesn't involve all the spinning.
I'm not sure if it was to do with how wobbly my spinning wheel was, the lack of proper cord or my lack of persistence but I got to the point that I wanted to keep knitting the blanket but didn't want to spend all the time getting frustrated with the spinning wheel. I never really 'got' how to adjust the wheel properly, hopefully one day I will get a better wheel and take some lessons because I know I would enjoy it once it got easier. Anyhow, back to the blanket!
I got the wool from Bendigo Woolen Mills. The colours aren't quite as nice as the colours I dyed myself for the last blanket but they are close and I do love them.
I was going to knit it with just a small seed stitch border but I like how the colours blend together gently rather than bold stripes of regular knit stitch so the seed stitch continued.. and continued.. and now I thinks its plain to see that it will be a seed stitched blanket!
Its going to be so warm and cozy, I really do love it
I love that the seed stitch is so puffy and soft
Here are my silkies in a place they love and the place id really rather they visited a little less often, my chamomile patch. If they have their way I think I will be buying shop bought chamomile tea next winter! But still, its the only thing in the veggie patch that they bother so I don't mind too much

What pretty, happy colours!
Your work is always so beautiful and inspiring. I do remember that hand dyed blanket you made a while back. I thought then that the colours turned out so perfectly.
It really is lovely, I adore the rainbow colours but I have to say, doing a whole blanket is seed stitch would drive me bonkers! Looks stunning though.
lots and lots of lovelynes! Wonderful colours on the knitting and lovely fluffy chickens!
The blanket looks beautiful in the seed stitch and the colours looks perfect together.
Enjoy
Love the blanket, it looks so beautiful and comforting :) Great colours too.
I love the look of seed stitch, and you're right about the way the colours blend together beautifully... But I don't know if I would have the patience for an entire blanket of it! Good for you :)
Love your blanket and those colors. So light and cheerful!
And fluffy chickens! SO CUTE!
Moss stitch must be one of my favourite stitches. Your blanket is beautiful.
Your blanket looks so filled with sunshine, gorgeous colours. I love moss stitch too, but a whole blanlet - wow that will be some project. Looks great.

Sorry moss stitch, seed stitch, I keep forgetting the UK/US differences. Just like the whole jumper/sweater/vest/tank top conundrum!

Beautiful colors! It's going to be a wonderful blanket.
Stunning blanket...that's a keeper. I have cotton I've saving for a rainy day to a seed stitch blanket - it just never rains here.
Your's will be wonderful
What a beautiful blanket! My little lady would LOVE that - it's the perfect colours for her.
What a wonderful blanket to crawl under : ) my chickens love my herb beds too, mostly the parsley which I use very little anyway so... thanks for sharing. tricia @ crunchycatholicmomma
that is going to be an amazing blanket. i love the seed stitch.
Gorgeous blanket :) I am amazed you want to knit the whole thing in seed stitch- I usually avoid things that use the stitch (though I love the look) because it takes so much longer LOL
Lovely blanket. I really like the colours, so soft-looking!
