tomato babies? well look at them now, all grown up! Hes had such a bumper crop of big red tomatoes. Yesterday he and mum came over and I helped them make my
sugarless sauce recipe
It was an all day affair, we washed them,
chopped and blended them outside and then they boiled on the stove all day long
For lunch the apple blossom children and I made up some
hummus and
spelt flat breads which were delicious. So delicious that we headed to the kitchen straight away to make a second batch
Im thinking our tomato sauce day needs to become an annual thing
That looks like it was a very fun day, to be enjoyed later again when you eat the sauce!
ReplyDeleteBecause of the short growing season here and lots of small children means I don't want a glass green house, we can't grow tomatoes.
Think I will go now and put some chick peas to soak, I have a sudden urge for hummus!
